Mantung Madness

Somewhere out there east of the Murray in the mallee beside a forgotten railway line without tracks lies a forgotten little town of Mantung. This little hamlet once serviced the steam trains between Karoonda and the Riverland. All that remains are the water tower, a few homes and a number of dilapidated houses and piles of stones where houses once stood. It's two greatest assets are it's remoteness and mains water.

No need for a Post Office. The town does not even have a sign to let you know that you have just passed it.

The PMG mail truck is currently out of order!

Beautiful Mantung where the TV is out and communication is in.
